Description

Plane simplicity

The fundamentals of design can be broken down into three distinct parts: point, Line and plane. The point in design can be as insignificant as a single fleck or as a concentrated space of power. We have several points in the design of PLP-2 , and each draws the eye and represents a different focus on the watch. The concept of the line in PLP-2 is represented by the watch’s hands. Each hand has an independent path of movement, which we felt created more layering and depth to the feel and design of the timepiece. The Plane is represented by the face of PLP-2. It is the medium upon which all our ideas are expressed. The plane is a single, solid color in PLP-2 and adds depth and dimension to the rest of the watch.
